
Annapolis Energy Fund II & III
Annapolis II is a $42.5 million fund that was formed in February 2006. To date, $97.2 million has been returned to investors, with $16.3 million remaining invested in three companies. All remaining investee companies are currently private. The original investments were all start-up or early stage companies. Annapolis has or had seven board seats, three board observer status and one chair position.
Annapolis III is a $4.5 million single purpose fund that was formed in January 2007 for the specific purpose of topping-up the investment made in one company by Annapolis II (Annapolis II invested $6.8 million and Annapolis III invested $4.3 million).
Annapolis Energy Fund IV
Annapolis IV is a $20.9 million fund that was launched in February 2007. To date, $25.7 million has been returned to investors, with $7.6 million remaining invested in three companies. All investee companies, but for one, are currently private. Of the original seven investments in the fund, two were in pure start-up companies while the other five were early stage companies. Annapolis has or had three board seats.
Annapolis Energy Fund V
Annapolis V is a $78.6 million fund that was formed in July 2008. To date, $11.8 million has been returned to investors while the fund has called $74.7 million which is currently invested in ten companies. All investee companies, but for three, are currently private. Of the original eleven investments in the fund, seven were pure start-up companies while the other four were early stage companies. Annapolis has three board seats, two board observer status and one chair position.
Annapolis Energy Fund VI
Annapolis VI is a $150 million fund that was formed in August 2011. The fund has not yet made an investment but is actively evaluating and pursuing investment opportunities in the range of $5 million to $30 million.
Note:
Both Annapolis Energy Fund I and Annapolis Energy Fund III were single company private equity funds. Annapolis Energy Fund I was formed before the formal launch of Annapolis for the purpose of making a single company investment. Annapolis Energy Fund III was formed for the purpose of topping-up the final investment made by Annapolis Energy Fund II. Therefore, only Annapolis Energy Fund II, Annapolis Energy Fund IV, Annapolis Energy Fund V, and Annapolis Energy Fund VI are true omnibus private equity funds.
